Do you know about microorganisms? Are they our friends or enemies. Think about it. Microorganisms are friendly when they walk on us for their benefits. Really? But they are selfish friends. Are not they? But God gifted us with Army that can understand the fake friends. Yes! We have army in our bodies that protect us. So let introduced it. Our body have single head quarter called immune system. This headquarter have two sectors. · Innate immune system · and Adaptive immune system. Innate immune system is natural and present by birth of a child. It is a very fast immune system. But not very strong.

 The members of innate immune systems are macrophages, Dendritic cells, nutrophills, Granulocytes and A-granulocytes, Natural killer cells. Adaptive immune system is slow but its work is more appreciating. The Office of Army in our body is Lymphatic system. Here are the lymphocytes. These are the Boss of army. These lymphocytes are further divided into T lymphocytes because they born in a hospital known as spleen. And B lymphocytes their birth place in bone marrow. But these system take time to respond. Because it have to perform strong enquiry against pathogens. This system have engaged some lower army servers. That can perform immediate function against our enemies. When a pathogen gain entry the innate immune system inform the adaptive immune system. Do the adaptive immune system have TV in their house or a cell phone through which they can contact with innate immune system. 
 They have wireless connection. Innate immune system half killed the pathogens and take them to the adaptive immune system. So it is a short introduction of our Army. This introduction cannot be complete in a a single page or a book of 1000 pages. Here are some facts of Immune system.

 1. Army of Body: 

Our immune system work as our army. It is the army of our body. It safe guard the body by many shield, such as skin barrier, epithelium, chemicals etc. It recognise the non-self-antigens and kill the harmful entities. · When harmful entity enters the body, the body gives the signs of pain, fever, and inflammation. 
 Do you know the irritation in our body during cold and fever is actually the struggle of our Army against our fake friends. Although these responses are considered irritating and sign of disease but it is the first response of immune system in protection of body. This response of body send message to the strong cells such as lymphocytes to come and remove these harmful agents. 

2. Immune cell traffic cop :

Dendritic cells are the important cells of immune system and called ’immune cell traffic cop’. These cell work immediately by engulfing the harmful entities that take entry into body. · These cells direct the other cells such as T cells and antibodies (from B cells) to where they are needed. The cells of immune system communicate by secreting chemicals messenger.

 3. Recognition of Non-self from Self: 

 Can we recognise our true friends and fake friends in our life? What will be your response against fake friends. · The immune system can recognise the non-self or foreign cells and abnormal cells and to prevent the disease due to these cells. It kills the foreign cells. This system avoid the self-killing of body cells. Can you harm innocent friends if you get deceived by fake friends? But sometimes the harmful entities enter the body and make immune system weak. So immune system can attack their own innocent cells. I.e. diabetes 1 disease. 

 4. Innate and Adaptive response: ·

 Immune system work in two ways.

  •  Innate immune system and
  •  Adaptive immune system:

 Innate immune system

 Innate immune system is the natural system and it work immediately. It contain the free floating cells such as macrophages. Neutrophils etc. These cell engulf all the kind of viral body and expose them on their surface. It is not specific for a particular antigen. 

 Adaptive immune system

 Adaptive immune system is stimulated by innate immune system. It take some time to respond but it develop a long term memory. It work for a particular kind of antigen. It contain two kinds of cells. Cytotoxic T, and B cell. 
Helper T cell give the message of macrophages to cytotoxic T cells. These cells directly move to the place of infection and kill the invading agents.
Helper T cells when stimulate the B cells. These cell begin to divide and produce anti bodies. These antibodies go to the site of infection and attach the antigens. 
They stimulate the complement system that will kill the viral entities. Who is this? Is anyone knows about complement system? 
 Innate immune system and Adaptive immune system are just recognise the enemies and give message to the complement system.

 Complement system

 Complement system is the actual removal and killer of pathogens. It is a big family of cells. C2aC4bC3b, C3bBbC3b are the C5 convertase. C5 convertase than convert C5 into C5a and C5b. This C5 join other members f and become a large family C5C5C6C7C8C9. It is also called membrane activating complex. This will attach on a natural killer cell and many C9 molecules make a pore in membrane. The MAC recognise the pathogens bind ed with antibodies from B cells and push them into the natural killer cells through pore in membrane. Don’t confuse with this. It is their working style. 

Memory: · 

Immune system after killing the foreign invading agents create a memory Can you recognise the fake friends in future? · . Whenever those kind of harmful entities re-attack the body the immune system recognise them and provide a secondary immune response. · These memory cells include memory T cells and memory B cells.
